Job Overview
The -External Communication Manager defines and develops strategic counsel, support and supervision for the external corporate communication strategy, processes and governance. This covers corporate reputation, branded PR, and Social Media communications monitoring, issue and crisis management to build and protect our reputation by optimizing our reach with consumer, key stakeholders, and potential associates and so on.
The position reports to the Director and works in coordination with global External Communication Manager.
Key Responsibilities
Providing strategic guidance to the development and execution of 360 degree PR and is part in the agenda of monitoring Social Media Contents for the company that build brand equity, support brand business objectives and shape brand reputation, innovations, employer of choice…
Co-pilot with pillars’ leadership in the development of brand & science communication strategy.
Responsible for strategic direction to our PR agency, PR budget.
Manage and conduct appropriate research, measurement, message development and program evaluation for PR and communication campaigns.
Support executive media training and coaching for key global spokesperson and provide guidance for spokesperson opportunities.
Develop and execute by drafting media responses.
Understand and benchmark competitive environment and ensure leading-edge programming.
Co-pilot and Support to Digital Marketing Team to shape social media strategy and reputation online.
Manage the ongoing monitoring, tracking and reporting of issues and events that can either positively or negatively impact the brand at the regional and global level.
Support in the management of issue and crisis situations, controversial topics and social media/online crisis scenarios.
The role defines and develops strategic counsel, support to other departments and delivers a global external
communication plan and also encompasses the responsibility for identifying external risks and opportunities
(monitoring and predicting political, legal, economic and social developments) and putting in place strategies to
manage them.
Job Requirements
BS/BA in corporate or marketing communication journalism, public relations, business or related field.
Minimum 7 years of experience in communications and PR
Issues/crisis communications knowledge and experience
Demonstrated track record of implementing PR programs and crisis communication plans which achieve measureable results
Proven marketing communications and public relations planning and implementation experience
Digital media communication knowledge and experience
Experience in working in multidisciplinary teams
Excellent project management and organization skills, combined with the ability to handle many tasks
simultaneously, working under pressure and delivering within tight deadlines.
Excellent skills in shaping and driving dialogue to build strong relationships and buy-in.
Must have thepresence and stature to influence and to establish credibility with senior executives and external stakeholders.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; both verbal and written including the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
Experience in media management.
