Job Description
JOB PURPOSE:
To manage supply planning process and optimize the balance between demand and supply to secure the necessary stock for business at the optimal costs and achieve the unit’s target customer service level
CONTEXT AND SCOPE:
• To set up & fine-tune stock coverage by brand/format/SKUs, taking into account key business variables such as strategy, business size, freshness risk, supply CSL, co-packing, and risk level
• To seek for optimal balance between demand & supply via 1) daily data analysis and 2) collaboration with inbound/outbound function, sales team and overseas factories
• To lead cross-functional collaboration to minimize business risks in case of the imbalance between demand & supply caused by supply disruption, demand spike, etc.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• To set up optimal inventory level, end-to-end lead time, order cycle & size based on the unit's strategy/ goal/sales forecast and make purchase order to overseas factories and monitor the progress
• To validate sales forecast via collaboration with demand team to enhance supply stability
• To make periodic analysis of the existing inventory level and keep optimizing it in alliance with team's direction ('To maximize CSL with optimal conversion costs')
• To develop SCM reports and manage local DB (e.g. co-pack planning system)
• To be responsible for supply part of portfolio change management, triggered by NPD or changes in factories, ingredients, package, and weight in order to minimize business risks and associated costs
• To ensure overseas factories are aware of KR legal requirements and update any regulation changes
• To facilitate S&OP+ STEP 3 (SCM meeting) and keep track of SCM KPIs (CSL, inventory, conversion cost, customer satisfaction, quality & food safety, and consumer complaints)
• To update 3-year inventory projection and provide a consolidated perspective on the unit's inventory level
• To secure mid/long-term co-packing capability, considering demand, supply, and resources (e.g. costs, labour, facilities) in the future
• To lead internal supply review process, manage stock coverage by brand/format/SKU, capture any imbalance between demand and supply, and drive cross-functional collaboration to close the gaps
• To run SRIMP (Sales Related Incident Management Process) and make contingency plans with cross-functional teams when sizable supply disruption is expected
• To be responsible for R&P (Raws & Packs) vendor development & assurance, price negotiations, and performance management
• To provide artwork to vendors in a timely manner, lead the development of co-pack R&Ps, and secure the availability of co-pack materials on time
• To make periodic analysis of quality data (e.g. CPM / Quality issues & claims from warehouse, trades, and consumers) and encourage continuous improvement of sourcing units and 3rd party co-packing vendor via close communications
Job Requirements
8+ professional work experiences in total
Minimum 4-year experiences in supply planning of FMCG company with import business model
