REGULATORY COMPLIANCE
1. Provide an interpretation at a detailed level of new and proposed regulations, the implications on the use of our ingredients and recipes - Enable all segments to speak with one voice on the scientific and technical aspects of the regulations .
2. Provide insight and strategic direction to Global SRA &R&D on claims that can be made on our products taking into account insights from the external environment (e.g., competitive claims and challenges; etc.).
REGULATORY CHALLENGE MANAGEMENT
3. Manage regulatory challenges.
4. Develop regulatory adhoc strategies for existing and new ingredients, products, packaging and technologies, including regulatory approvals, and safety and risk assessments. Ensure supporting materials is in place to establish best-in-class challenge management capabilities through external agency or internal resources and manage and direct those resources.
5. Provide technical expertise, management, and support to resolve RA, Quality and related incidents, including establishing access to external networks, expert resources, and regulatory authorities.
6. Provide the technical information to respond to either legal, regulatory or competitor challenges to our products/labeling/advertising

7. Anticipate future global trends, and emerging opportunities, challenges, and issues that might impact the business and develop approaches, strategies and actions to address them.
8. Create condition to proactively identify and create opportunities that drive harmonization of regulations, remove regulatory barriers, and builds scientific and regulatory environments favorable to business goals and objectives.
9. Run horizon scanning of future regulations to determine the impact to the business.
10. Evaluate competitive landscape with respect to ingredient, recipe and claims and proactively make recommendations to R&D regarding opportunities for company
11. Manage a process to allow the business to get approval of desirable ingredients
12. Developing a strategy and execution/advocacy plan to allow the business the freedom to operate
13. Represents companyinterests in the most relevant Trade Associations technical working groups. |

5 years of experience in Regulatory Affairs, public policy or Trade Association related field.
M.S. or equivalentin a technical area, such as food science, veterinary medicine, food safety, chemistry, toxicology, nutrition, or other biological science.
Excellent understanding and working knowledge of nutrition and food law and regulatory frameworks, challenging scientific dossiers, understanding key messages from scientific information and defending complex regulatory and scientific challenges with appropriate data |
