- Accountable for the financial results of the short-term PA product portfolio including top and bottom line.
- Oversees all aspects of product management and governance including rate development, underwriting, pricing segmentation, portfolio analysis and management, product lifecycle governance and administration specifically as it relates to the short-term PA portfolio.
- Partners and collaborates closely with marketing and distribution to define the distribution strategies and objectives for each chosen market segment to make sure that the PA short-term products meet customer and distribution needs and expectations, maximizes our competitive differentiation in our chosen business segments and provides acceptable levels of profitability for the company.
- Provides insight/expertise where needed, as it relates to the development of new combined long-term products, pricing, underwriting and risk segmentation strategies for multiple distribution channels, including independent agency, captive agency, direct marketing and alternative distribution channels.
- Creates strong relationships with departments affecting product development and administration and our customer experience including Claims, Agency, Telesales, Customer Service and Operations, Direct Marketing.
- Works with the leaders of our customer-facing units to define the customer service strategies and objectives for the business segments.
- Accountable for the Product Lifecycle Governance and Administration process as it relates to the short-term PA portfolio, which governs all product development and administration from ideation to technical development to launch and also includes all post product launch activities such as post-launch reviews and portfolio management.
- Accountable for the implementation of company policies concerning underwriting and product development as it relates to the short-term PA portfolio.
- Ensures product filings are in line with local regulation and meet Corporate standards where appropriate. |

7) Job Requirements:
- Undergraduate / Graduate University degree in a business discipline and / or professional accreditation.
- 10 years’ experience in the technical aspects (pricing, modelling, underwriting) of PA products in the Korean market
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexible, resilient and creative; intellectually curious
- Strong interpersonal communication, presentation & influencing skills
- Strategic thinking and planning skills
- Self-starter, ability to discover problems and implement solutions. Strong analytical and reasoning skills in interpretation of numbers.
- Proficient in MS office applications. Prior experience and skills in using Excel for data analysis.
- Existing and cordial relationships with the Korean regulators and industry rating bodies.
- Prior experience leading actuaries and technical insurance analysts.
- Languages. Korean native. Good knowledge of English. |
