Job Description
The Finance Controller is responsible for all areas relating to accounting and tax reporting. This position will be responsible for developing and maintaining accounting principles, practices and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statements. The Finance controller supervises/trains GL, AP & AR accountants so that they can make sure Korean book is correctly reported according to Glob al Finance Manual. This position addresses tight deadlines and a multitude of accounting activities including general ledger preparation, financial reporting, internal audit
preparation, tax settlement and support budget and forecast activities. The Finance Controller will have contact with Korean leadership group and which requires strong interpersonal communication skills both written and verbal.
- Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure
- Advises staffs regarding the handling of non-routine reporting transactions
- Make sure accounting transactions and treatments follows company internal control policies & procedures (covering all cycles including revenue, production, payment, inventory cycles, etc)
Periodically
- Ensure the timely reporting of all periodic financial information
- Monitors and analyzes business to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy
- Overall responsibilities of periodic account reconciliation review and follow up
- HFM report to HQ
- Tax/Cash forecast
- Ad hoc. Reports
Quarterly
- Q21/Q23 report
- CAGG report preparation
Yearly
- Supports budget and forecasting activities
- Corporate income tax settlement with accounting firm
- Actively participate internal audit
Job Requirements
** KICPA 또는 AICPA Holder(총 경력 15년 이상)
- Minimun 5-7 years prior supervisory experience in the financial reporting/Accounting
- BA in Accounting/CPA is preferred
- Must have strong knowledge on US & Korean GAAP/Local VAT & Corporat income tax
- Able to design and implement an effective business process and to track the performance in an efficient manner.
- Knowledgeable in the application of analytical techniques to evaluate potential business initiatives and assess their impact on strategic fit, operations and resources.
- Analytical and problem solving skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal, supervisory and customer service skills required
- MS office proficiency
- Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines required
- Fluent in English
